Challenging Logic with Futoshiki
Futoshiki offers a captivating blend of puzzle-solving and number-placement challenges that will keep enthusiasts engaged for hours.
What is Futoshiki?
Futoshiki is a logic puzzle game originating from Japan. The objective of the game is to fill all cells with numbers. While some cells are pre-filled, the player must complete the rest. Similar to Sudoku, Futoshiki introduces an additional element - signs (greater than, less than), alongside numbers, on the game grid. The sign between two cells indicates that one number must be greater than the other. The puzzle is correctly solved when the following three conditions are met:
- Numbers in each row must be unique.
- Numbers in each column must be unique.
- If signs (arrows) are present, the numbers must satisfy the conditions indicating one number is smaller than the other.
Levels
In Futoshiki, players can select from six difficulty levels (4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 8x8, and 9x9). Progressively larger grid sizes pose increased challenges. Players new to Futoshiki are recommended to start with a 4x4 grid. Each complexity level offers a selection of 2000 distinct game levels, with higher numbers representing greater difficulty. Level 2000 presents the most intricate challenge.
How to play?
To change the value of a cell, first select it followed by clicking on numbers displayed at the bottom of the screen to input the desired value. While multiple numbers can be placed in a cell simultaneously, completion of a level requires each cell to contain only one number. To remove a number from a cell, simply select it and click on the corresponding number located at the bottom of the screen.
